After more than 30 years of domestic and global real estate development and investment experience, Stephen Ellis founded Ellis Developments Group, a leading real estate development company delivering vibrant residential and mixed-use communities in the Carolinas and southeast United States. As CEO, Stephen has led the company to thousands of residential lots under control, rapidly expanding into new markets throughout the southeastern United States. Stephen is a specialist in forecasting the next wave of development in and around cities with large growth, working with stakeholders to design thoughtful, dynamic neighborhoods that contribute to the beauty, economic vitality and future vision of the surrounding community.

Prior to founding Ellis Developments Group, Stephen has had a life-long career dedicated to commercial and residential property investment, renovation and land development. He has established and led several successful companies internationally, including Ellis Developments QLD, an award-winning development and building company in Queensland, Australia.

Stephen started his career in residential development in the United Kingdom where he quickly climbed the ranks to a management position at Slater Hogg & Howison, one of Scotland’s largest Real Estate Groups. From there, Stephen established his first company, Ellis Property Valuing, which became the largest valuing company on the west coast of Scotland.

Stephen now lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, with his wife, Pam. You’ll find Stephen at the gym most mornings, and when he gets any time off work, he loves to travel and explore new cultures, food and wine.

As Director of Development, Zach Anderson brings more than a decade of experience to Ellis Developments Group, a leading real estate development company delivering vibrant residential and mixed-use communities in the Carolinas and southeast United States. Zach’s extensive market knowledge and diverse industry experience help drive the community first, partnership approach for which Ellis Developments Group is known. With a proven track-record of success in rezoning, planning and developing projects from 10 lots to 1000 lots throughout North Carolina and the southeastern United States, he is always ready for the next challenge.

Zach has called North Carolina Home for more than 20 years. A lifelong passion for aviation gave him a unique aerial perspective on urban design and land planning from a young age. After earning his gas money in residential construction as a youth, Zach attended North Carolina State University for Civil Engineering.

He started his professional career as a Design Engineer working on commercial, residential and industrial projects, which proved a great foundation in understanding the process of land development. A desire to get out from behind the desk took him to a position as a Land Development Project Manager, and later Land Acquisition manager, for D.R. Horton where he grew the company’s footprint, opening several new markets in North Carolina.

When not pursuing his passion for land, Zach can be found hiking with his wife, son and dogs, flying Cessnas and playing ice hockey.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Matt brought his entitlement expertise and passion for land development with him to North Carolina and Ellis Developments Group, a leading real estate development company delivering vibrant residential and mixed-use communities throughout the Carolinas and southeast United States.

Don absolutely loves the Carolinas after moving to Charlotte several years ago, albeit 100 years after family in Eden, NC. He began his career in San Francisco, continued his work in Ann Arbor and Cleveland before the big move. He enjoys nothing more than working with stakeholders to help create thoughtful, dynamic neighborhoods that contribute to the beauty, economic vitality and future vision of the surrounding community.

When not pursuing his passion for real estate, Don can be found working with his wife Kristen to raise their two wonderful young boys.

Anne brings over 15 years experience in Land Planning & Land Development as well as Business Operations Leadership. She provides a wide spectrum of proficiency with Civil Engineering, Land Development, Land Planning, and Real Estate/ Land Acquisition, including experience with Land Development in municipal government. With a strong background and both public and private sectors, Anne is excited to grow with Ellis Developments Group, a leading real estate development company delivering vibrant residential and mixed-use communities in the Carolinas and southeast United States.
